Lee Seung Gi (이승기), born on January 13, 1987, is a K-pop singer. He debuted at the age of 17 in 2004 when he was still a high school student. “Because You’re My Girl”, his debut single, was a very popular ballad and created a “liking older women” syndrome in South Korea[citation needed]. In the 2004 MBC Music Awards, he won the Best New Artist award.Lee was a regular guest on SBS’s X-Man and has starred in a few TV sitcoms, in addition to a few TV commercials. His album Remake Album – When a Man Loves a Woman is a compilation of popular love songs previously sung by female artists, including “I Loved You” by Lyn.

He released his fourth album on August 16, 2007, and is still promoting the album as of November 2007. He also joined KBS’s 1 Night, 2 Days show, part of the network’s Happy Sunday lineup, as one of its permanent members, debuting on the November 11th episode. He won the best male artist award in the MKMF music festival.
